Bradley Lindstedt
I am going to start with telling you about my family because I am very proud to say that their influence and encouragement set me on my construction path today. I was taught as a young boy general carpentry skills from my Grandfather Robert Merrigan. As an Irishman he carried on those values and traditions in our family. My Grandfather Gustav Lindstedt worked for 50 years for the City of Portland as the Chief Director of Public Works and for the City Planner. The Swedish traditions and values were also celebrated in our family too. My Dad went to college full time and worked two jobs to establish his career as an Attorney. He also was on the Portland School Board and had many political aspirations. I had the best mom ever! I also have the best wife and family ever. I still use my grandfather's hammer to date and use the faith taught by Grandfather Gustav as well. My family taught me that I could accomplish anything if I worked hard and didn’t give up.
I have worked in the construction industry most of my adult life, starting making windows and doors, hand finishing doors and millwork, worked in marketing for a national wood window company, to selling construction products, and from there starting my own construction business and Cabinet business which I am skilled in cabinet layout and design. Today I work as a General Contractor, both skilled on the job and in the office to running and managing employees.
In my experience and needs for repair, due to house break-ins, I have become an inventor! I created a door jamb repair device which has been patented and ready for market.
